The most popular Temporary Work Visa (Skilled) Sub Class 457 was fully replaced by the Temporary Skill Shortage Visa with effect from March 2018.

TSS is composed of two streams in order to satisfy the labor market requirements of the Australian employers.

The Short-Term stream is designed for Australian businesses to fill skill gaps for up to two years with skilled overseas workers where an Australian worker are not available.
